Benjamin Aina KC and Michael Lavery secure acquittal in attempted murder case

Benjamin Aina KC and Michael Lavery from Exchange Chambers have secured not guilty verdicts in an 8-week attempted murder trial at Manchester Crown Court.

The allegation involved the shooting of a 16-year-old teenager in Manchester.

The acquitted defendant had supplied the motorbike used in the shooting and was the only defendant found not guilty out of the four men standing trial.

This was Benjamin Aina KC’s first jury trial at Exchange Chambers. Both Benjamin Aina KC and Michael Lavery were instructed by Kemps Solicitors. Both Counsel act in in serious crime cases.
