Anna Bond successfully prosecutes Class A drugs conspiracy

Anna Bond from Exchange Chambers have successfully prosecuted a man accused of Class A drugs conspiracy in Bolton after police raid finds almost 200k worth of drugs.
In the early hours of 2 March 2023, a house on Oxford Grove in Bolton was searched by police along with 3 other properties. 5 men were arrested for their role in a conspiracy to supply crack cocaine and heroin throughout the Bolton area. In total £23,389 was seized from the 4 properties. Over £196,000 drugs were seized from those 4 properties.
Two of the men arrested pleaded guilty to offences before trial, another faces trial in 2024. Saacid Nahir had his trial alone at Bolton Crown Court and was unanimously convicted of two counts of conspiracy to supply class A and possession of criminal property after a 6 day trial.
Nahir was arrested in a room with over 1380 individual wraps of crack cocaine and heroin. £2128 in cash was found in his coat pocket. He was linked to the conspiracy through mobile telephone messages.
