Adam Brown secures acquittal for defendant charged with multiple offences

Adam Brown from Exchange Chambers represented a defendant who was charged with assault by penetration, rape, controlling and coercive behaviour and witness intimidation. The case involved two separate complainants. There was a 4-day trial before Leeds crown court.

The trial Judge removed the witness intimidation from the jury after a successful application of no case to answer at the conclusion of the crown’s case. The jury then went on to unanimously find the defendant not guilty of all the other offences.
