May 17, 2024
Chris Richards has successfully represented a man who made a high-value claim after being injured in a road traffic accident.
The Claimant was being driven as a passenger in a vehicle when the driver lost control. The Claimant’s vehicle left the road and collided head-on with a tree. The Claimant was able to remove himself from the vehicle before it ignited and set on fire.
The Claimant suffered a number of serious injuries in the accident, including a burst fracture of the L2 vertebral body, a fracture dislocation of the left shoulder, and a laceration to the liver. The Claimant suffered extensive scarring, as well as a number of psychological conditions. The Claimant’s ability to work was significantly compromised.
Chris and his experienced solicitors worked hard to build the claim. The Claimant obtained medical evidence from a number of experts, including a Trauma & Orthopaedic Consultant, a Consultant Surgeon, and a Consultant Neurosurgeon.
The claim settled shortly before a Costs and Case Management hearing for a total of £375,000.
Chris Richards is a member of the personal injury department at Exchange Chambers, and was instructed by Farhan Khan of Cooper Hall Solicitors.
