Member of Chambers in Panama for Transnational Crime Conference
May 6, 2016
Nick Johnson QC, one of Exchange Chambers’ criminal silks who specialises in multi jurisdictional criminal and related investigations, will be attending the International Bar Association Transnational Crime Conference, held this year in Panama between 11th and 13th May. Delegates from across the legal world will be discussing the international reach of organised criminal activity, from bribery and political funding to international money laundering, corporate fraud, cybercrime and corporate compliance.
In advance of the conference, Nick explained “Fraud cases in the UK have an increasing international dimension, whether in terms of money flows or cross jurisdictional investigations. Chambers has been committed to such specialisms for some time. The services we can provide to clients are enriched, not only from discussion with specialist practitioners but by learning how different legal jurisdictions confront the same problems.”
